Domaniecki Carpetence / Manufaktur / Tibet

The Tibetan highlands are also known as the roof of the world. Perhaps it also explains best why Buddhism is so deeply rooted in the Tibetan people's everyday life. Prayer flags waving in the wind and the murmur of monks meditating are expressions of a common path to perfection. The same combination of spirituality and culture is also evident in the carpets. Every single carpet is a vibrant expression of the nation's soul and its respect for holiness.

Following the Chinese occupation in the 1950s, many Tibetans settled in Nepal and resumed their centuries-old tradition there. The high-quality carpets for Domaniecki Carpetence are produced in two carpet factories by Tibetans living in exile.
